“The Man Nobody Sees“..

Nobody knows there are five men inside me.
To the world, I look normal.
I wake up.
I work.
I answer messages with “haha 😂” when I’m not laughing.
I say, “I’m good,” when I’m absolutely not.
I attend meetings.
I shake hands.
I smile in photographs.
I exist.
And apparently, that’s enough for people to think they know me.
They don’t.
Because when the lights go off and the world gets quiet, five different versions of me wake up.
They don’t have names.
But I gave them identities.
Because sometimes you need different versions of yourself just to survive being yourself.
I. THE VAMPIRE 🩸
He comes out at night.
Of course he does.
That’s when memories become louder.
When everyone else is sleeping, he sits beside the window and watches the city breathe.
He doesn’t drink blood.
He drinks silence.
He feeds on everything I never said.
Every goodbye.
Every betrayal.
Every person who promised they would stay.
Every time I trusted someone and regretted it.
Every message that was never answered.
Every door that closed without explanation.
The Vampire is the part of me that learned something very early:
People leave.
So don’t get attached.
Don’t expect too much.
Don’t love too loudly.
Don’t need anybody.
He convinced me that loneliness was strength.
And honestly?
For a while, I believed him.
He made me cold.
He made me distant.
He made me impossible to hurt.
But there was a problem.
He also made me impossible to reach.
Sometimes I look at the people I love and feel like I’m standing behind glass.
I can see them.
I can hear them.
I just can’t let them in.
The Vampire whispers:
“If you never open the door, nobody can break your heart.”
And I hate him.
Because he’s right.
But he’s also wrong.
Because a locked heart doesn’t only keep pain out.
It keeps love out too.
II. THE MYTHOLOGICAL COP ⚔️
Then there is the Cop.
He doesn’t sleep.
He watches.
Always.
He carries no ordinary badge.
His badge is an ancient idea:
Justice.
He believes every action has a consequence.
Every lie leaves evidence.
Every powerful person eventually meets someone stronger.
And every innocent person deserves someone willing to stand beside them.
The Cop doesn’t care about status.
Money doesn’t impress him.
Power doesn’t scare him.
Titles mean nothing.
He looks at people and asks one question:
“What did you do when nobody was watching?”
He has seen too many people use kindness as weakness.
Too many powerful people hide behind paperwork.
Too many criminals hide behind respectable clothes.
Too many victims being told to stay quiet.
So he became the voice that says:
“Enough.”
But even justice has a shadow.
Sometimes the Cop wants punishment more than truth.
Sometimes he wants revenge disguised as justice.
And that’s when I have to stop him.
Because justice without humanity can become cruelty wearing a uniform.
So I remind him:
We don’t become monsters to defeat monsters.
We become better.
Stronger.
Smarter.
More disciplined.
The Cop lowers his weapon.
And waits.
III. THE HUNT MACHINE 🎯
Then something happens.
Someone threatens someone I care about.
Something inside me changes.
The Vampire disappears.
The Cop becomes silent.
And the Hunt Machine wakes up.
No anger.
No screaming.
No drama.
Just focus.
He doesn’t chase chaos.
He studies it.
Every pattern.
Every connection.
Every contradiction.
Every shadow.
He doesn’t need revenge.
He needs answers.
The Hunt Machine is terrifying because he doesn’t get distracted.
While everyone else is asking:
“Why?”
He’s already asking:
“What happens next?”
While everyone else is reacting—
he is observing.
While everyone else is shouting—
he is thinking.
He is the part of me that refuses to stop when something matters.
But there is a price.
The Hunt Machine doesn’t know when the hunt is over.
He can keep searching long after the danger has disappeared.
He can turn every silence into a clue.
Every coincidence into a pattern.
Every stranger into a possibility.
And one night I ask him:
“When do you stop?”
He looks at me.
For the first time, he doesn’t have an answer.
IV. THE HALF HUMAN 🧬
Then there’s me.
The Half Human.
The strangest one.
Because he doesn’t know which side he’s on.
Half darkness.
Half light.
Half instinct.
Half compassion.
He understands the Vampire.
He understands the Cop.
He understands the Machine.
But he belongs completely to none of them.
He wants to protect people.
But sometimes he wants to disappear.
He wants revenge.
But he knows revenge won’t heal him.
He wants love.
But he’s terrified of needing it.
He wants to be powerful.
But he’s afraid of what power might turn him into.
He stands in front of a mirror one night.
The reflection looks back.
And he asks:
“Who are you?”
No answer.
He asks again.
“Are you good?”
Silence.
“Are you dangerous?”
Silence.
Then finally:
“Are you human?”
The reflection smiles.
And says:
“That’s the question you’re supposed to spend your life answering.”
V. THE DEVOTEE 🔱
And then there is the fifth.
The one I misunderstood for years.
The Devotee of Mahadev.
I thought he would be the strongest.
The loudest.
The most powerful.
I expected thunder.
Fire.
Destruction.
Instead—
he was silent.
He sits within me like a mountain.
Still.
Unmoved.
Watching everything.
The Vampire screams.
The Cop demands justice.
The Hunt Machine wants answers.
The Half Human wants to run.
And he simply breathes.
In.
Out.
Stillness.
I ask him:
“Why aren’t you fighting?”
He doesn’t answer.
I ask again.
“Why aren’t you angry?”
Still nothing.
And slowly, I understand.
Strength isn’t always movement.
Sometimes strength is restraint.
Sometimes destruction isn’t about destroying people.
It’s about destroying what is destroying you.
Ego.
Hatred.
Fear.
Attachment.
The need to prove yourself.
The obsession with being right.
The desire to hurt someone because they hurt you.
The Devotee doesn’t tell me to become weaker.
He tells me:
“Become master of yourself.”
And suddenly, everything becomes quiet.
THE NIGHT THEY ALL FOUGHT
One night, all five of them appeared together.
The Vampire wanted to disappear.
The Cop wanted justice.
The Hunt Machine wanted the enemy.
The Half Human wanted answers.
The Devotee wanted silence.
And I stood between them.
For years, I had believed my problem was that I had too many sides.
That I needed to kill one.
Choose one.
Become one.
But standing there, I finally understood.
They weren’t enemies.
They were survival mechanisms.
The Vampire protected my heart.
The Cop protected my principles.
The Hunt Machine protected my boundaries.
The Half Human protected my humanity.
And the Devotee—
protected my soul.
The tragedy wasn’t that they existed.
The tragedy was that I had allowed each one to take control when I was afraid.
I WAS NEVER JUST ONE MAN
I used to think strength meant becoming fearless.
Now I know better.
Strength is feeling fear and refusing to become cruel.
It’s being hurt and refusing to become bitter.
It’s having power and choosing restraint.
It’s seeing injustice and choosing lawful courage instead of blind rage.
It’s knowing darkness exists inside you and refusing to worship it.
The Vampire taught me survival.
The Cop taught me justice.
The Hunt Machine taught me focus.
The Half Human taught me compassion.
And Mahadev taught me stillness.
Five forces.
One life.
One battlefield.
Me.
THE MAN NOBODY SEES
Tomorrow morning, I’ll wake up.
I’ll make coffee.
I’ll answer emails.
Someone will ask:
“How are you?”
I’ll probably smile.
“I’m good.”
They won’t know.
They won’t see the Vampire standing behind my eyes.
They won’t hear the Cop questioning every injustice.
They won’t notice the Hunt Machine scanning the room.
They won’t feel the Half Human fighting to remain soft in a world that keeps teaching him to become hard.
And they definitely won’t see the silent presence reminding me:
Be still.
Know yourself.
Master yourself.
So maybe I don’t have to choose who I am.
Maybe I have to understand all of them.
Because the goal was never to destroy the darkness inside me.
It was to learn how to hold it without letting it control me.
I spent years trying to discover which one of them I was.
Then I finally understood.
I was never meant to choose one.
I was meant to master all five.
