Scour the news for an entirely uninteresting story. Consider how it connects to your life. Write about that.
“The Power of the Unseen Dot”
Scrolling through today’s news, I stumbled upon a headline that could bore the soul out of anyone — “City Council Approves New Standard for Public Bench Sizes.” Bland. Pointless. Or so it seemed.
But something stirred in me.

A bench… a silent witness to everyday stories — heartbreak, hope, poverty, protests, love letters, and lunches. They stand still as lives pass by. Just like that, a forgotten news piece pulled a string in my memory.
My life, too, has been a collection of silent benches — dots scattered across time. Some dull, some painful, others powerful. Each moment, seemingly ordinary, was a whisper from fate, nudging me to awaken to a bigger calling. That forgettable headline reminded me that nothing is truly meaningless — not a bench, not a pause, not a scar.

Each dot in my past has shaped me — a fight I stood up for, a voice I lent to the voiceless, a truth I refused to bury. In this grand circle of time, these dots connect, forming a map. A map that leads me, not just to purpose — but to a mission: to serve humanity, to seek justice, and to bring light into forgotten corners of the world.
So, while the world scrolls past the boring news, I see a code. A cosmic nudge. A message:
Even the mundane holds magic — if you dare to connect the dots.
